Gunny ww park
Jeffro
You should check it out. I was there for the opening last week and Gunny is a great
location for the park.
There's two features. The upper most feature (mini me ?) is a smooth wave face with
break. Not retentive but surfable both back and front. At this level you can only enter
from dropping down into the feature.
The lower feature (G spot ?) is steeper. The entrance is from an eddy just right of
center. Get into this eddy and it will lead you into the wave's trough after some rather
strong forward strokes. Longer freestyle boats look to have the advantage in entering
the trough. Then ferry right into the feature. It's tough to catch with shorter boats
but can be done.
As a note this is the highest Gunny's been in five years. Enterance to the features
were designed for lower, more average flows but the surfing is worth the extra effort.
Kayak surfing is not a crime - dog
2 replies since May 30 2403, 14 :13 < Next Oldest I Next Newest >
E tfd repl" 12 nert c po11
Forum Jump
Track this topic Email this topic Print this topic
@ 2001 Mountainbuzz.com
Powered by Ikonboard 3.0 RC 1
http: / /mountainbuzz.comlcgi- bin /forumslikonboard.cgi ?s =3 fOb22cd0128ffff ;act= ST;f= 9;t =3... 7/8/2003
