Tributary Greenway Project: Directed this City -wide, interdepartmental project which is <br />planned to connect the entire city area with a system of multi -use greenways for <br />transportation, flood control, recreational and ecological purposes. Guided project <br />through approval process before concerned city agencies and coordinated presentations to <br />citizens groups and public at large. Directed a multi - disciplinary work team to plan and <br />finance the project. Proposed and gained approval for a cooperative financing scheme <br />combining a percentage of shared parks and open space annual lottery funds, a flood <br />control fee increase, a percentage of transportation sales tax funds, possible open space <br />funds from the upcoming tax election, and matching grants and developer contributions. <br />Reference: Ed Gawf, Director <br />Community Planning and Development <br />West Arapahoe Project: Instrumental in guiding public process involving historically <br />antagonistic neighborhood, environmental, and business interests resulting in a successful <br />compromise plan which was unanimously adopted by City Council. Over a two year <br />period, brought together city representatives, local business leaders, and environmental <br />groups to design, fund and construct the first underground natural trout stream <br />observatory in an urban area.
