The grant request is for the Slow the Flow indoor water audit
program.
The CRC has agreements with the City of Lafayette, City of Longmont and City of Thornton to conduct
indoor water audits for their utility customers in 2010. The creation of a `turn-key' indoor water audit
program will be a valuable addition to water conservation in Colorado and will continue to help the
CWCB add to the breadth and depth of conservation efforts at the local level.
The applicant is requesting $34,020. The applicant and participating cities have pledged 42% matching
funds in the form of cash and in -kind services. Staff has reviewed and evaluated the grant application and
has determined that the proposal meets or exceeds the CWCB guidelines for reviewing grant proposals.
Attached is the internal checklist used to evaluate the application.
Recommendation:
The OWCDP staff recommends that Jennifer Gimbel, Director of the CWCB authorize $34,020 to the
Center for Resource Conservation to carry out the Slow the Flow indoor water audit program.
Attachment: Evaluation Checklist
Water Supply Protection - Watershed Protection & Flood Mitigation - Stream & Lake Protection - Water Supply Planning & Finance
Water Conservation & Drought Planning - Intrastate Water Management & Development
