TASK 3.0: Water Quality Concerns/Issues and Potential Mitigation <br />• Purpose: Identify and gain an understanding of specific water quality concerns and issues <br />which may arise when water is transferred from agriculture to urban uses, as well as <br />potential mitigation strategies. <br />• Methods and Procedures: Members of the committee will meet in facilitated session(s) with <br />water quality advisors (specifically chosen for their knowledge of agriculture water quality <br />issues in the Arkansas basin) to gain an understanding of water quality issues and their <br />possible mitigation. Securing advisors and providing them background and specific <br />questions for consideration to assist in their contribution to the committee will be <br />responsibility of the committee's facilitator. <br />• Deliverables: An initial s, ummary will be drafted by the committee's facilitator, subject to <br />review, revision, and approval of committee members and outside advisors. The document <br />will be reviewed at the close of the project to include additional information which has been <br />gained during the course of the project. The final report of the committee will include this <br />document. In addition, the committee's Water Transfer Guidelines template will be further <br />developed and revised from information and insights gained during this task. <br />TASK 4.0: Environmental/Recreational Concerns/Issues and Potential Mitigation <br />• Purpose: Identify and gain an understanding of specific environmental and recreational <br />concerns and issues which may arise when water is transferred from agriculture to urban <br />uses, as well as potentiaf mitigation strategies. <br />• Methods and Procedures: Members of the committee will meet in facilitated session(s) with <br />environmental and recreational advisors (specifically chosen for their knowledge of these <br />issues in the Arkansas basin) to gain an understanding of the issues and their possible <br />mitigation.
