10 <br />Bottom samples were taken with a Surber square foot sampler <br />along a selected transect at each station. The 305 samples collected <br />were placed in preservative for future detailed analysis at the labors- <br />tory, <br />-Fish populations were sampled by electrofishing 1,500 foot <br />sections which usually included 500 feet below, 500 feet within, and <br />500 feet above the stations. ,Approximately 22,000 feet of stream were <br />so sampled. Length, weight, and species identification were determined <br />for the nearly 500 captured fish from which scale samples were taken, <br />(Laboratory analysis of scale samples had not been completed at the time <br />this report was prepared.) <br />Reconnaissance trips were made to Turret Creek, upper Sweet- <br />water, Dry Sweetwater, and upper South Fork.
