Two technicians and a graduate
assistant have been hired. Construction of experimental apparatus is
underway and scheduled to be completed by June 1. The striped bass
field work is scheduled to start on April 23, 1980. The titles and
objectives of these studies are as follows:
Tolerance and preferences of Colorado River endangered fishes to selected
habitat parameters,
This project will be conducted in bioassay facilities at the Utah Water
Research Laboratory. The objective of the study will be to determine
habitat tolerances and preferences of the five species of Colorado River
fishes. Specific objectives are to:
1. Determine preference of young-of-the-year and subadult test
fish by exposure to a gradient containing different concentrations or
levels of TDS and temperature;
2. Determine baseline hematological parameters for each species;
