F. If the management biologist wants some specific action taken by the hatchery,
this is the place to identify it ( fish reared under more natural condition, no
human contact, tagging and marking, etc.).
V. Evaluation:
A. Systematic monitoring and evaluation are essential components of a
reintroduction/augmentation program. Results should be reported in a timely
and systematic fashion accompanied with management recommendations (see
attachment-Monitor and Evaluate the Reintroduction/Augmentation Program).
B. Project the likelihood of success of the reintroduction/augmentation program
and identify potential problems or conflicts.
It is understood that the management biologist may not have all the data necessary to answer
each question completely. In these situations, provide all available information and identify
what additional information will be needed in the future. This will allow for the
development of research proposals and studies to obtain the data. The fact that all
information is not available should not stop future actions.
