2.2.1.3 Irrigation Use Efficiencies and Return Flow Schedules. For all irrigation

diversions, the use efficiencies presented as a percentage of the amount of diverted
quantity which is consumed on a monthly basis were assumed to be:
Use Efficiency, in percent
May June July August September October
37 47 45 67 67 67
The May-June values came from a separate return flow analysis that considered water
right diversions, irrigated acreage, consumptive requirements and non-beneficial losses.
July-October efficiencies were determined by model calibration to gaged streamflows. Use
efficiencies of 16 percent in the winter and 46 percent in the summer were assumed for
municipal demands at Baggs and Dixon.
For all irrigation diversions, the return flow schedule used was:
50% of total return flow - during month of diversion
30% of total return flow - 1 month after diversion
20% of total return flow - 2 months after diversion
15
