POTENTIAL PARTICIPATING PROJECTS <br /> <br />In carrying out further investigations of projects under Federal Rec- <br />lamation laws in the Upper Colorado River Basin, the Secretary of the <br />Interior is directed to give priority to completion of planning reports on <br />a number of potential projects. Reclamation, so far as limited funds and <br />personnel will permit, is continuing studies on these projects. <br /> <br />1. COLORADO <br /> <br />a. Grand Mesa Project <br />No activity has occurred on this project since 1982. A planning report <br />concluding the study was approved July 13, 1982. <br /> <br />2. UTAH <br />a. Central Utah Project, Ute Indian Unit <br />No activity has occurred on this unit since 1980. A concluding report <br />was approved on May 30, 1980. <br /> <br />3. WYOMING <br /> <br />a. Sublette Project <br />A concluding report was approved on April 24, 1980. <br /> <br />F. STATUS OF OTHER BUREAU OF <br />RECLAMATION PROJECTS IN THE <br />UPPER COLORADO RIVER BASIN <br /> <br />1. COLORADO <br />a. Fruitgrowers Dam Project <br />Reclamation has recently entered an agreement with the Audubon <br />Society to manage the lands around Fruitgrowers for wildlife habitat <br />enhancement and viewing. <br /> <br />b. Uncompahgre Project <br />The Final Environmental Impact Statement for the AB Lateral H ydro- <br />power Project was filed on August 28, 1990. The proposed 42 megawatt <br />facility would be privately funded. The project is on hold pending reso- <br />lution of Gunnison River flow issues in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison <br />National Monument. <br /> <br />54 <br />
