<br />A $5.2 million contract to construct Dove Creek pumping plants in <br />Cross Canyon, and Monument Creek lateral systems was awarded on <br />February 15, 1990. The contract is scheduled for completion by the end <br />of 1991. <br /> <br />A contract to install the master computer control system was awarded <br />in May of 1989 and is scheduled for completion during the summer of <br />1992, A contract to install the communications system for the master <br />computer control system was awarded in July of 1989 with completion <br />also scheduled for the summer of 1992. <br /> <br />A contract for construction of the recreational facilities below McPhee <br />Dam along the Dolores River was awarded in September of 1989. The <br />contract is scheduled for completion by the end of 1991. <br /> <br />The first payment for Block Notice Number one, issued March 23, <br />1987 to the Dolores Water Conservancy District, was received in Febru- <br />ary ofl990. That notice is for all irrigatable land using supplemental water <br />within the Montezuma Valley Irrigation Company's system. <br /> <br />Block Notice Number four was issued on September 4, 1990 and covers <br />all irrigatable lands within Fairview and Cahone full-service pipeline lat- <br />eral delivery systems. The notice is for 27,644 acre-feet of water. Repay- <br />ment will begin on February 1, 1997. <br /> <br />Block Notice Number five was issued to the Ute Mountain Ute Indian <br />Tribe for 1,000 acre-feet of municipal and industrial water. Pursuant to <br />the Colorado Ute Indian Water Rights Settlement Act of 1988, the first <br />repayment on February 1, 1991 will be for 160 acre-feet of water. Re- <br />payment on the remaining 840 acre- feet will be held until the water is first <br />used. <br /> <br />Block Notice Number two was issued on May 29, 1987 and Block <br />Notice Number three was issued on February 22, 1988. <br /> <br />d. Fruitland Mesa Project <br />Reclamation has requested that all the lands previously withdrawn for <br />the Fruitland Mesa Project be terminated in their entirety. Through the <br />Withdrawal Review Report submitted to the Bureau of Land Manage- <br />ment, Reclamation has recommended that approximately 22,600 acres <br />be returned to the public domain. <br /> <br />45 <br />
