<br />MEETINGS OF THE COMMISSION <br /> <br />During the Water Year ending September 30,1989, the Commission <br />met four times as follows: <br /> <br />Meeting No. 208 <br />November 16, 1989 <br /> <br />Adjourned Annual Meeting <br />Albuquerque, New Mexico <br /> <br />Meeting No. 209 <br />March 19, 1990 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br />Salt Lake City, Utah <br /> <br />Meeting No, 210 <br />September 17, 1990 <br /> <br />Annual Meeting <br />Salt Lake City, Utah <br /> <br />Meeting No. 211 <br />September 20, 1990 <br /> <br />Adjourned Regular and <br />Adjourned Annual Meeting <br />Salt Lake City, Utah <br /> <br />ACTIVITIES OF THE COMMISSION <br /> <br />Within the scope and limitations of Article I( a) of the Upper Colorado <br />River Basin Compact,". . . to secure the expeditious agricultural and in- <br />dustrial development of the Upper Basin, the storage of water . . ."and <br />under the powers conferred upon the Commission by Article VIII(d) <br />pertaining to making studies of water supplies of the Colorado River and <br />its tributaries and the power to". . . do all things necessary, proper or <br />convenient in the performance of its duties. . ., either independently or <br />in cooperation with any state or federal agency,"the principal activities of <br />the Commission during the 1989 water year have consisted of: (A) re- <br />search and studies of an engineering and hydrologic nature of various facets <br />of the water resources of the Colorado River Basin especially as related to <br />operation of the Colorado River reservoirs and salinity control; (B) col- <br />lection and compilation of documents for a legal library relating to the <br />utilization of waters of the Colorado River System for domestic, industrial <br />and agricultural purposes, and the generation of hydroelectric power; (C) <br />legal analyses of associated laws, court decisions, reports and problems; <br />(D) analyses of environmental statements on water development projects <br />of the Colorado River Storage Project and participating projects; (E) <br />continuation of a general public relations program related to water re- <br />sources of the Upper Colorado River Basin; (F) cooperation with water <br /> <br />7 <br />
