CONCLUSIONS and COIrIIKENTS
Capture sites in the San Juan arm of lake Powell and in the
vicinity of _the Dirty Devil arm were geomorphologically similar.
Commonalities included a rocky substrate with a mixture of sizes
on a gradually sloping shoreline. The absence of razorback captures
in other net sets and electrofishing samples during April 1990
sampling suggests that they avoid very silty substrates, silty
inflow areas, steep cliff walls and steep talus slopes leading to
deep water. Future efforts to capture razorbacks in spring should
avoid the latter and concentrate on the former areas.
