s
-31-
~ for the four endemic species is obtained; (2) "critical habitat" deter-
minations are made; and (3) a determination of how the project may
impact these fish is made.

The loss of stream angler-days that will occur as a result_of construction
and operation of Savery Reservoir could be further offset by acquiring
i long-term easements for public fishing access on private lands downstream
from the reservoir on Savery Creek and on the Wyoming portion of
the Little Snake River. In fact, fishery benefits could accrue if
s
public access to enough miles of Savery Creek and the Little Snake
River could be acquired and coupled with an intensified management

program.
The loss of stream angler-days that will result from construction
and operation of Pot Hook Reservoir could be offset by maintenance
• of a minimum flow of 10 cfs. in Slater Creek below the dam and
acquisition of long-term easements for fishing access on Slater
Creek and on the Colorado portion of the Little Snake River. If a
• minimum flow of 10 cfs. cannot be provided in Slater Creek, then
acquisition'of public fishing easements on private lands upstream
from Pot Hook Reservoir would then be a potential loss compensation
alternative.
