~~ r INTRODt~C'1' IC?i~! -The primary goal of_ tabs Manugernent Plan for razorback sucker (Xyraur_hen texanu~s), a State-listed endangered fish, is to ~iTnprove its status in California by securing and raerpetuatinc~ existing -- populations and establishing additional self--sustaining populations within the species' historic range in the stare- This goal may be accomplished by: 1) using information obtained from biological and monitoring studies to define environmental parameters necessary for maintenance of the species; 2) employing legal mandates to protect and mitigate potential changes in or impacts to biological, physical, and chemical parameters of razorback sucker habitats; and 3) implementing a long-term reintroduction program for sui-table habitats.
