<br />6 <br /> <br />D. Definitions <br /> <br />The following defini hons wi 11 be used in this study. <br /> <br />1. Virgin flow or undepleted inflow means the "natural flow" data <br /> <br />developed by the USBR for use in the Colorado River Simulation System <br /> <br />(CRSS), as distinguished from earlier, less consistent virgin flow data <br /> <br /> <br />developed by the Engineering Advisory Committee for the Upper Colorado <br /> <br /> <br />River Basin Commission and others. Both virgin flow and natural flow <br /> <br /> <br />refer to the flow that would have occurred had there been no man-made <br /> <br />developments. <br /> <br />2. Curecanti Project or Unit means the unit of the Colorado River <br /> <br /> <br />Storage Project consisting of the Blue Mesa, Morrow Point, and Crystal <br /> <br /> <br />reservoirs along with appurtenant dams and hydropower plants. The <br /> <br /> <br />Curecanti Unit has recently been renamed the Wayne N. Aspinall Unit. Any <br /> <br />reference to Blue Mesa reservoir, hydropower plant, or water right decrees <br /> <br />is limited to just those components and does not include Morrow Point or <br /> <br />Crystal components. <br /> <br />3. ASP refers to the computer model developed by the USBR to analyze <br /> <br />hydropower production at the Curecanti or Aspinall Unit. <br /> <br />4. Blue Mesa storage releases mean any evacuation of water from Blue <br /> <br />Mesa storage for minimum stream flow purposes, for municipal and <br /> <br />WBLA, Inc. 1909 Broadway, #3, Boulder, Colorado 80302 <br />
