Mark Richards, P.E.
soil erosion. The purpose of the study was to develop modeling for
characterizing components of surface water.
Concrete Database Development, Department of Public Works/Engineering, City
of Englewood, Colorado
Engineer'rAide. Created a database for the assessment of concrete
thxoughout the city. Work involved incorporation of information gleaned
fxom city maps into database in ordex to form a basis fox allocating the
costs of repair.
Lower South Platte River Water Management and Storage Site Reconnaissance
Study, Colorado Water Conservation Board
Project Engineer. Performed analysis of yield from available watex rights for
storage in potential reservoix site on Lowex South Platte and investigated
feasible means of conveying watex to and fxom off-stream storage sites.
Wastewater Treatment Plant Design, Hydraulic Modeling and
Analysis
•
Mine Water Treatment Analysis, London Mine, Colorado
Pro jct Engineer. Evaluated an existing treatment process installed for mine
water treatment from an abandoned mine. The existing process included
the addition of cement kiln dust to raise pH, and setded high levels of
metals in a settling pond. Proposed improvements include, addition of a ?
flow pacing control system, fxeeze protection, pipeline aligmnent changes,
and re-sizing and reconfiguration of settling pond, and drying ponds. The
project also included sizing and design of dried solids disposal area.
Wastewater Treatment Plant Capacity Analysis, City of Englewood, Colorado
HydraulicModeler. Developed a hydraulic model of a 60-mgd wastewatex
treatment plant from headworks to outfall. Analyzed hydraulic capacity of
existing plant con&guration, identifying locations that need improvement.
Further analyzed plant hydraulics under future possible upgxade
configurations and .incxeased flow conditions. Assisted in xedesign of
existing buildings and structures.
Sanitary Sewer Modeling, City of Wichita, Kansas _
Hydraulic Modeler. Analyzed City of Wichita GIS coverages, flow data and
sanitary sewer database for missing data, erxant data and data gaps. Assisted
in creation of hydxaulic model for the City's sanitary sewer system and
capaciry analysis under present and future flow conditions.
Pipeline Design, City of Boulder, Colorado
Pipeline De.rigner. Project Engineex for design of 54-inch outfall pipe,
including hydxaulic analysis, a siphon, manhole structures, a road crossing,
and utility cxossing. Coordinated with local regulatory agencies, including
Boulder Landuse Department, Fish and Wildlife Deparmlent and Corps of
Engineers in development and submittal of all necessary perxnits.
Phosphorus Modeling, Boise City, Idaho •
m:4esumes\Richards Mark.doc
