Developed a water management plan (groundwater and surface • <br />water) for this Superfund site. <br />Lowry Landfill Superfund Site, Denver, Colorado <br />ProjectManager. Responsible fox surface watex hydrology investigation at <br />Lowry Landfill, a Superfund site near Denver. Determined existing <br />contanunation at the Lowry site, the potential for massive increase in <br />contamuiation spread during flood events, and alternatives for reducing <br />contamination. Project also involved installation of flow measuring devices, <br />water quality sarnpling, data analysis, and flood frequency estimates. <br />Coalbed Methane Production Investigation, Union Pacific Resources, Wyoming <br />PrnjectManager. Invesrigated alternarives for production water disposal from <br />sevexal coalbed methane projects. This feasibility investigation analyzed <br />evaporation ponds, underground injection, irrigation, wetlands creation, and <br />other alternatives fox disposal of production water. <br />Native American <br />Water Resource Services, Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, North and South Dakota <br />Pmject Manager. Completed several tasks for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe <br />in North and Sauth Dakota. These tasks included: an irrigation feasibility <br />study for the xeservation; an analysis of existing operating policies for a <br />federal reservou located neat the xeservation in order to provide instream • <br />flows for restorarion of the fishery in the Grand River; analysis and <br />inventory of groundwater and surface water supplies available on the <br />xeservation; dete:rmuzation of potential for low-cost hydropower acquisition <br />by the Txibe; development of a monitoring program and implementation of <br />the Tribe's water resources data base utilizing a GIS system; and assistance <br />to the Tribe in parricipating in the Army Corps of Engineers' restudy of <br />operating policie:s fox the Missouri Rivex reservoirs. <br />Ski Industry <br />Water Quality Investigation, Keystone, Copper Mountain, and Breckenridge <br />Resorts, Colorado <br />ProjectManager. Analyzed phosphate discharge restrictions proposed by <br />Sunuiut County, Colorado. Evaluated the existing situation with respect to <br />phosphate discharge from these resorts, and prepared necessary changes in <br />the regulation. <br />Hydrological and Environmental Analysis, Colorado Ski Country USA, Colorado <br />ProjectManager. Completed hydrologic and environmental analysis of water <br />use by Colorado ski areas for snowmaking and municipal use.
