Recommended Non-reimbursable Investments <br />The CWCB accepts applications for non-reimbursable projects from the Constxuction Fund until August <br />ls` of each year. Applications for non-reimbursable project investments are accepted for: <br />1. Projects or studies of statewide impact or importance. <br />2. Feasibility studies and projects designed to address statewide, region-wide, or basin-wide issues. The <br />Board examines whether such studies will result in new loans. <br />Division of Water Appropriates funds to install, maintain, and operate Statewide $350,000 <br />Resources (Sec.l) satellite monitored stream gauges for water rights <br />Satellite Monitorin administration as statutorily authorized. <br />CWCB (SeC.2) Engineering support to assist staff in technical analysis and Statewide $50,000 <br />Instream Flow Engineering expert testimony needed to resolve instream water right <br />and Tech. Su ort Services acquisitions and appropriations. <br />CWCB (Sec.3) Meet unanticipated needs for water planning funds and Statewide $100,000 <br />Water Resources Planning provide non-reimbursable funding assistance to local <br />Studies entities related to water planning <br />CWCB (Sec.4) Continue to develop and implement a statewide Statewide $1,500,000 <br />Continuation of the comperitive grant program to advance ag transfer methods <br />Alternative Agriculture as alternatives to permanent ag dry-up, including <br />Water Transfer, interruptible water supply agreements, ag land fallowing, <br />Sustainability Grant Prg. ~'ater banks, reduced consumptive use through efficiency <br /> or cropping while maintaining historic return flows. All <br /> drainage basins will eli 'ble for fundin . <br />CWCB (Sec.S) Develop and implement a long-term plan addressing the Statewide $500,000 <br />Water Adaptation impacts of climate variability on water supplies throughout <br />Partnership Frojects the State. <br />CWCB (Sec.6) Assist water conservation and conservancy districts with Statewide $175,000 <br />Continuation of the the development of cloud seeding programs to provide <br />Weather Modification benefits to recreation, streams, and reservoirs through <br />~.o~~ snowpack enhancement <br />CWCB (Sec.~ Participate with Narional Oceanic and Atmospheric Statewide $300,000 <br />NOAA Statewide Administration in the update of the "precipitation- <br />Precipitation-Frequency frequency atlas" to be used in hydraulic analysis and <br />Atlas Update delineation of floodplains, land use decisions and local <br /> draina e re lations. <br />CWCB (Sec.8) Participate with the Center for Snow and Avalanche Statewide $30,000 <br />Dust-on-Snow Studies Studies in a study of the effects of dust-on-snow on <br /> snowmelt timing, intensity, and duration in order to more <br /> accurately predict the snowmelt process and stream runoff <br /> atterns. <br />Local Communities Assist communities to revise and improve floodplain Statewide $500,000 <br />(Sec.9) Continuation of studies and maps. Provides the required non-federal <br />the Floodplain Map matching dollars that are further leveraged by local cost <br />Modernization Program share and in-kind services. <br />~~ <br />
