SOUTH PLATTE LOWER RIVER GROUP. INC: <br />Jon Altenhofen from Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District said that two additional wells at <br />the Tamarack Project have been completed bringing the total to three operational wells at the site. <br />Mr. Altenhofen also reported that this year approximately 335 acre feet of credits from the Tamarack <br />Project will be available for purchase by the District at $7.00/acre foot. <br />Director Treadwav made the motion that the District contribute $5,000 to the South Platte Lower <br />River Groua. Director Crandall seconded the motion which passed unanimouslv. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />Agriculture Commissioner Ament was in attendance and expressed his concerns the agriculture <br />industry is facing economically. He also stressed the importance of addressing the states water issues <br />and the need for all water users to get actively involved. <br />Kent Holsinger, Assistant Director for Water at Colorado's Department of Natural Resources, spoke <br />about endangered species issues and their impact on Colorado Water and Agriculture. He relayed <br />the Department's role as more pro-property rights, pro-agriculture and more pro-water development. <br />OLD BUSINESS: None <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Director Fender made the motion to approve Counsel Lawrence's request for a$5.00! hour <br />increase in attornev's fees beginnin January. 2000. Direc'ror Iiinaldo seconded: Motiorl passed, <br />unanimouslv. <br />Director Treadwav made the motion to increase Director Fees to $100.00 per month beginning <br />Januarv, 2000. Director Rinaldo seconded. Motion carried. <br />5
