WATER CONSERVATION BUSINESS: None <br />LEGAL REPORT: <br />Director Datteri made the motion to close the meetinp, for an executive session to discuss leg,al <br />matters. Director Rinaldo seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br />The Boazd meetinp, was reconvened by President Powers who called the meeting back to order. <br />Opposition to Morgan County Quality Water, 99-CW-102 - Director <br />Edwards made the motion that Counsel Lawrence settle the case with Morgan <br />County Qualitv Water. Director Datteri seconded. Motion passed <br />unanimouslv. <br />Opposition to GASP, 96-CW-1162 - Director Bolinger ma.de the motion <br />that we agree a conditional water right is not the same as a plan of <br />augmentation, but that the use of water must be limited_to members of the <br />apnlicant and for use in reaches that will prevent injurv. Director Rinaldo <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimouslv. Counsel Lawrence will <br />file a Brief which will state the District's position. Director Tuck made the <br />motion that the River Monitoring Committee review the Brief prior to the <br />Anri120, 2000 deadline. Director Lingreen seconded. Motion passed <br />unanimouslv. <br />Opposition to Condon, 98-CW-475 - Counsel reviewed and approved a <br />stipulation for a ruling. <br />EDUCATION REPORT: <br />Gary Miller, co-chairman of the Children's Water Festival Committee, stated that final prepazations <br />are being made for this year's Water Festival which will be held on May 10, 2000. Since the <br />cafeteria was severely burned in a recent fire at Norlheastern Junior College some changes will need <br />to be made in scheduling. PRESIDENT'S REPORT: <br /> <br />i. ? <br />President Powers reviewed the Spring Water User's Meeting that was held at the Ramada Inn of <br />Sterling on Mazch 15'. It was suggested that agenda items for next year include more programs of <br />the Lower South Platte Water Conservancy District and not just issues of the South Platte Lower <br />River Group. - <br />-3-
