The meeting was called to order by President Powers who introduced the guests. <br />**?*?************?**** <br />APPROVAL OF THE AUGUST l, 2000 MINUTES: <br />Director Treadwav made the motion to approve the Minutes as submitted. Director Crandall <br />seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimouslL- <br />FINANCE REPORT: <br />Director Tuck made the motion to approve pavment of checks numbering 7140 through 7168. <br />Director TreadwaY seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br />RIVER MONITORING REPORT: <br />Division 1, Water Court Resume ': <br />00-CW-112, Rosamond Brunelli - Director Bolinger made the motion to file a <br />statement of op.position on this case since the application is not clear as to the <br />proposed change of water right. Director Fender seconded the motion which <br />passed unanimously. <br />.Iulesburg Recharge Demonstration Project: <br />Jon Altenhofen from the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District was present at both the <br />work session and regular Board meeting. Mr. Altenhofen discussed the potential of developing <br />surface water storage facilities and managed ground water recharge projects along the South Platte <br />River Basin. He stated there are several ground water projects in operation with more in the <br />process of being developed. He added that these facilities would not only help replace ground <br />water depletions, but would enhance wildlife by creating new habitat areas. <br />LEGAL REPORT: <br />Included in Counsel Lawrence's report were the following: <br />-2-
