SOUTH PLATTE LOWER RIVER GROUP, INC: Director Treadway stated tha.t a successful tour of the Tamarack Project was held on October 25, 2000 for Peter Jacobsen, State Director for Senator Wayne Allard. Greg Brophy, Aide to Senator Allard as well as representatives from various state agencies also attended the tour. The South Platte Lower River Group designated $85,000 at it's last meeting to partner with LSPWCD, GASP and/or other entities in the construction and development of water projects along the lower reaches of the South Platte River. The next meeting of the South Platte Lower River Group will be held Thursday, December 7, 2000 at the District office. The Executive Committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. with the regular meeting starting at 9:00 a.m. The main thrust of the meeting will center around a grant application of approximately $500,000 from the Water Conservation Fund. The focus of the grant will be for projects closer to the State line on private and public land.
