Mr. Jones reviewed the following with the Board of Directors: <br />• Opposition to DOW, 98-CW-463 - According to the attorney general's office the <br />State will take no action on this application until the 3-States Agreement is <br />approved. <br />PRESIDENT'S REPORT: <br />Included in President Powers report were the following: <br />• President Powers reminded the following Directors that their terms will expire <br />December 31, 2000: <br />Jim Powers <br />Kenneth C. Crandall <br />Louis Rinaldo <br />Tadao Shimamoto <br />C. Steve Treadway <br />• President Powers also stated that a workshop for the Board of Directors is <br />scheduled for November 21, 2000 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. to discuss future <br />plans of the District. <br />MANAGER'S REPORT: <br />Included in Manager Schott's report were the following: <br />• Director Treadway made the motion that $100.00 be contributed to the CWC <br />Winter Convention coffee break fund. Director Linjzreen seconded the motion <br />which passed unanimously. <br />• Gary Miller, District Technician, reported that the 2001 Children's Water <br />Festival will be held May 15, 2001 at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling. <br />• The Colorado Water Conservation Board will be holding an open house public <br />meeting at the Ramada Inn in Sterling, on Thursday, November 16, 2000. This is a <br />series of ineetings the CWCB is holding throughout the state covering each of <br />Colorado's eight major basins. The program will include presentations on Water <br />Supply Planning and Finance, Flood Protection, Water Supply Protection, Water <br />Conservation Planning and Stream & Lake Protection. <br />-4-
