<br />Opposition to Pawnee Well Users, 04CW46iw!Lawrence and N?aiMEr" <br />Frank will review the Pawnee Well Users' PropoPd Decree this next month so <br />that the Board can determine at the July Board me-dng whether to continue with <br />the opposition or withdraw from the case. PF:ESIDENT'S REPORT: <br /> <br />President Stromberger reported that he and Manager Frank had attended a Pawnee Creek <br />Reservoir site meeting this past month where those in attendance discussed preliminary <br />coristruction costs. President Stromberger noted that because of the past few years of drought, he <br />ancl Manager Frank will keep water storage a primary focus for the District whether it be the <br />Pawnee Creek site and/or other potential sites. <br />M.ANAGER'S REPORT: <br />Included in Manager Frank's report were the following: <br />• Manager Frank reported that only a few applications had been received this month <br />for the Water 2025 grant. However, with the applications for Inclusion into the <br />District and the new Sutron devices now available for installation, the application <br />process should pick up. <br />• Monthly updating and accounting for the Lower Logan Well Users and the <br />Sedgwick County' Well Users has been set up by Manager Frank and Jon f <br />Altenhofen along with members of the well user groups. <br />• This year's annual Water Festival was held May 17" at Northeastern Junior <br />College. Approximately 576 3rd through 6' grade students attended the Festival. <br />• Manager Frank's name will be submitted for appointment by the District as a <br />roundtable representative of the South Platte Basin for House Bill's 1177 <br />"Ir.te:basir. remYact". <br />? Manager Frank will be meeting with Jeris Danielson on Wednesday, June 15`h at <br />the District office to discuss the Ovid Reservoir project. <br />SOUTH PLATTE LOWER RIVER GROUP. INC.: <br />Th.e Group's next meeting will be held August 11, 2005 at the District office. <br />P1;IBLIC COMMENT: <br />Water Commissioner, Brent Schantz reminded those attending the Board meeting that measuring <br />devices need to be on all recharge facilities by the start of the new water year. <br />-3-
