<br />LEGAL R]EPORT: <br />Included in Counsel Lawrence's report were the following: <br />Oppositian to NCWCD, #03CW405 - Counsel Lawrence finalized settlement <br />of this case. <br />Opposition to FRICO, #02CW 105 - Manager Frank will review the case this <br />month to give his recommendation whether Lower should remain in the case. <br />PRESIDENT'S REPORT: <br />President Stromberger reported that the District 64 field tour which was held on July 28, 2006 <br />had been very informative and well received.. Water Cammissioner, Brent Schantz conducted the <br />tour to demonstrate how the South Platte River is run by the Division of Water Resources. <br />President Stromberger noted that a tour of District 1 may follow later this year. <br />1VdANAGE12'S RIEPORT: <br />Included in Manager Frank"s report were the following: <br />Manager Frank said that he will be telephoning Jim Hall from the Division of <br />Water Resources (DWR) to ask him to attend one of the District's upcoming <br />Board meetings to address the letter Manager Frank sent to DWR regarding <br />accounting/diversion records for all of Division 1. <br />2025 Grant - Manager Frank noted that no formal documentation has yet been <br />received from the Bureau of Reclamation on the 2025 grant extension. <br />Manager Frank noted the latest status on the Ovid Reservoir. The Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board has listed several items that need to be addressed by the Ovid <br />Reservoir Company prior to the issuance of a loan for purchase of the project <br />from GASP. Rob McClary representing the Ovid Reservoir Company will be <br />addressing the GASP board later today to discuss passible options between GASP <br />and the Ovid Reservoir Company. <br />Manager Frank along with Directors Treadway, Crandall and Powers will be <br />attending the Colorado Water Congress summer convention August 23rd - 25th in <br />Breckenridge. <br />-3-
