Review and Revise Wyoming Property ManaQement Plan - The Wyoming Property will be one <br />of the first parcels of Program land. Currently the USFWS Rainwater Basin Office in Kearney, <br />Nebraska is managing this parcel. The AMWG identified the need to review and revise the <br />management plan for this property for the Program. $5,000 <br />2008-2011 Work Plan Development and Overall Experimental Design - The AMWG was <br />charged with developing a Work Plan for implementing the Adaptive Management Plan (i.e., <br />what management actions will be implemented, what research will be conducted, etc.). This <br />effort will also discuss how the overall experiment design will be developed to effectively test <br />the to major management strategies - flow/sediment/mechanical (aka clear-level-pulse) and <br />mechanical (aka clear-level-plow). $50,400 <br />AMYVG Assistance and Operating Expenses - The AWMG has identified the need, and the <br />Governance Committee generally agreed that additional assistance was needed from Scott <br />McBain and Nick Aumen in 2007. $25,000 <br />Monitoring and Research Easements - The AMWG identified the need to secure easements for <br />long-term stations. This will allow access for the purpose of monitoring measurements at <br />selected sites throughout the study area throughout the Program. $50,000 <br />SprinR and Fall Whooping Crane Survey - A budget estimate has been included to allow <br />completion of the spring and fa112007 whooping crane monitoring efforts. $160,000 <br />Analysis of CA collected Whooping Crane Data - The AMWG requested that the Executive <br />Directar's office complete an analysis of the data collected to date following the Whooping <br />Crane Monitoring Protocol from 2000-2006. $25,000 <br />Tern and Plover Report - An annual data report is prepared from data collected by the FWS, <br />NPPD, CPNRD, and others implementing the Tern and Plover Monitoring Protocol. $7,500 <br />Tern Forage Base (fish) monitoring - A draft protocol has been developed and will be updated <br />before implementation. The current plan is to implement efforts in coordination with the <br />Districts fish monitoring. $20,000 <br />Research of Tern Foraging Use of the River - A research item identified by the AMWG was the <br />use of the river for foraging by terns nesting on sandpits off of the river. $120,000 <br />Pallid Sturgeon Information Review and MonitorinR Update - The AMP discusses the need for a <br />complete review of the pallid sturgeon information and update of the Program's monitoring plan <br />early in the Program. $30,000 <br />Lower Platte River Water Quality Monitoring - The AMP identifies the need to implement water <br />quality monitoring sampling in the lower Platte and tributaries. $40,000
