The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Headwaters <br />102 Corporation/Program conference center (Suite 5, Central Business Station Center, 3710 Central <br />103 Avenue). Following a short discussion, the group will proceed to select locations along the <br />104 central Platte River to provide interested parties with first-hand knowledge of potential study <br />105 locations and perspective on the scale of tern and plover activities. <br />106 <br />107 This meeting will provide critical information on scope, field logistics, and other details so <br />los interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend. One electronic copy of your <br />117 proposal in PDF format must be submitted to Chad Smith at sfnithc e,headwateYSCOrp. com no <br />118 later than 5:00 p.m. CST on August 8, 2008. <br />119 <br />120 SCOPE OF WORK FOR CONTRACT SERVICES <br />121 <br />122 INTRODUCTION <br />123 The Program was initiated on January 1, 2007 between Nebraska, Wyoming, and Colorado and <br />124 the Department of the Interior to address endangered species issues in the central and lower <br />125 Platte River basin. The species considered in the Program, refened to as "target species", are the <br />126 whooping crane, piping plover, interior least tern, and pallid sturgeon. A Governance <br />127 Committee reviews, directs, and provides oversight for activities undertaken during the Program. <br />128 The Governance Committee is comprised of one representative from each of the three states, <br />129 three water user representa.tives, two representatives from environmental groups, and two <br />130 members representing federal agencies. The Govemance Committee has named Dr. Jerry Kenny <br />131 to serve as the Program ED.
