II. Relationship to RIPRAP and Recovery Program:
The Five-Year Flaming Gorge Flow Investigations is focused primarily on development
of flow recommendations for the Green River below Flaming Gorge Dam and
~j development of supporting information as needed. Specific aspects of the RIPRAP
which are being addressed within Research Program fall within the Green River Action
Plan and include:
,~ •1.A.1.b -Identify winter/spring flows needed for recovery,
•1.A.1.c -review summer/fall flow recommendations,
•V.A.1 -verify additional Colorado squawfish spawning areas in lower Green,
•V.A.2 -identify additional razorback sucker spawning areas in lower Green, and
•V.A.3 -investigate Gila spp. distributions and abundance throughout Whirpoo! and
lower Lodore Canyons.
