ESCALANTE WETLANDS HYDROLOGY <br />Water levels in the study area were monitored at staff <br />gauges and ground water monitoring wells shown in Figure 9. <br />These stations were surveyed for elevation by the U.S. Bureau of <br />Reclamation and allowed us to convert water levels into water <br />elevations for our sample dates. These elevations are not to be <br />considered true elevations because of the difficulty the <br />surveyors had carrying a bench mark to the site.
