It is important to remember when <br />interpreting graphs for the benthos that-only one sample was- <br />collected-for:each station at each sample period. <br />Overview of Invertebrate Sample Stations <br />Invertebrate sample stations were established in the study <br />area in .June of 1993 (.Figure 23). A total of 14 stations were. <br />sampled for invertebrates (Table 6). Communities represented by <br />these stations-are: 1) bulrush (4 stations); 2) open water- <br />aquatic (5 stations); 3) flooded willow (1 station); 4) riverine <br />backwater (1 station);-and 5) river, (3 stations). Communities <br />were sampled six times during 1993 on or about the dates of 16 <br />June, l-July, 17 July, 30 July, 13 August, and 18 October. Only <br />:one backwater was selected because it was the only one available <br />in the study area. When stations went dry they were no longer <br />sampled.. <br />Table 6.
