Clear Creek watershed effort is a pattern for ecosystem <br />protection in Colorado. The water and watershed through which it flows eashly <br />establishes a sense of place for the citizens and a focus for efforts to protect the <br />environment. Over 85%'0 of the water is used as a drinking water supply for the <br />metro area, therefore the people of the lowlands have a special interest in <br />remediation of the impacts of the past mining activities.
