As <br />expected during this time, total degree days for backwater maximum was highest, followed by <br />main channel maximum. The USGS at Green River and main channel average were very closely <br />tied for third, followed last by USGS at Jensen. However, that average backwater degree days <br />were lower than the average main channel on 5 0~ 6 occasions, was surprising. <br />Table 8.
