Conduct populations surveys where information is lacking, especially in smaller
tributary systems.
2. Identify important tributary streams and protect from further flow and habitat
degradation.
3. Determine impacts of non-native fish species and assess the ability of control
efforts to manage these impacts.
4. Conduct field investigations to describe ecology and habitat use of important life
stages of roundtail chub, flannelmouth sucker, and bluehead sucker.
5. Limit or prevent additioaal introductions ofnon-native fishes.
6. Repatriate study species into suitable habitats throughout their historical ranges.
7. Update regulations to reflect conservation status of the study skies.
S. Include all native fishes in research, management, and education efforts.
Final Report September 2002
v
