This research lead to the two volume report, Boom Town Financing Study. • BBC prepared the socioeconomic inputs to the Quail Mountain EIS. This included area of impact definition, delineation of baseline conditions and impact assessment. • More than 20 comprehensive socioeconomic studies have been accomplished in Campbell County, Wyoming. Socioeconomic inputs to U.S.G.S. mine plans were prepared for Gulf Minerals and Mobil. In addition, Wyoming Industrial ' Siting Applications have been prepared for Atlantic Richfield, Mobil, Carter Coal (Exxon) and Peabody Coal. Baseline analyses and projections have been prepared for each assignment. Mitigation measures were also an important consideration. Capabilities and Experience in Tourism, Resort and Recreation Analysis BBC has developed a strong and diverse base of expertise related to modeling and projecting tourist visits, visitor spending, and analyzing broader economic effects of tourism, resorts and recreation. • The effects of air pollution control strategies, designed to improve air quality at major national parks in the western United States, upon tourism ' throughout the West are currently being evaluated for a consortium of state governments and Indian tribal leaders. BBC is examining the relationships of National Park visitations to other tourist activities, such as gaming and the economy of the western U. S. as a whole. One focus is upon the potential ' changes in visitation behavior, expenditure patterns, and intrinsic satisfaction driven by changes in air quality.
