The application was filed pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act f33 U.S.C. 1344). The Proposed Action involves construction of an earth fill dam and reservoi r to provide domestic and industrial water supply as wall as recreation end flood control. The dam would require the ,placement of approximately 265,700 cubic yards of fill and 2800 cubic yards of concrete. The Proposed Action includes a spillway sized to peas a flood flow of 65,300 cubic feet per second and an outlet works sized to accomodate the future addition of a 2000 kilowatt hydroelectric power generation facility. Planned future additions include picnic and boating facilities. The Proposed Action would increase the firm water supply available for domestic end industrial use in the Ransely arse. 3.
