1993 Kenney Res. Channel Catfish Study Report <br />Page 7 <br />A. Reservoir <br /> <br />The total catch of reservoir fish (n = 1,329) is shown by species <br />in Table 2. All fish that were collected alive were marked and <br />returned to the reservoir to get an indication of how much of the <br />fish population was being sampled. Channel catfish were marked <br />with a pectoral spine clip. All other fishes were marked with a <br />caudal fin punch hole. None of the 96,597 Colorado squawfish <br />stocked into Kenney Reservoir in 1988-1990 were found. <br />Table 2. The <br />channel catfish catch (n) for the general reservoir location <br />descriptor was: main lake (56), cove (27), and inlet (10). The <br />habitat type mistakenly was not recorded for the locations of 14 <br />catfish captures. <br />Substrate type was based on the character of the ground above water <br />
