a water distribution system, a pump- <br />house, 15 two-unit comfort stations, and <br />fisherman access facilities are parts of <br />the contract. <br />A $600,000 contract to remove 83,500 <br />tons of gravel from the McPhee Reservoir <br />pit was awarded in October 1985 and <br />completed prior to the end of the fiscal <br />year. A $142,000 contract for modifica- <br />tions to the McPhee Dam spillway was <br />awarded in May. The contract was com- <br />pleted prior to the year's end. The pri- <br />mary purpose of the contract was to <br />install an airslot to reduce cavitation in <br />the spillway. Work on the $3,000,000 <br />contract for Ormiston Point and Lone <br />Dome Roads, which was awarded in Sep- <br />tember of 1983, was substantially com- <br />plete by the year's end. <br />Supplements to the Dolores Project <br />Definite Plan Report and Environmental <br />Impact Statement are being prepared <br />incorporating McElmo Creek Salinity <br />features with Dolores. <br />Construction information about Grand <br />Valley and Paradox can be found in the <br />Salinity Section of this publication. <br />Central Utah Project: Bonneville Unit - <br />The Final Supplement to the Final Envi- <br />ronmental Supplement of the Municipal <br />and Industrial System, Bonneville, Unit <br />Central Utah Project was filed August 28, <br />1986. <br />Construction work on contracts totaling <br />about $12.5 million continued on several <br />features. Six new contracts totaling <br />approximately $6.4 million were awarded <br />during the year. The contracts awarded <br />were as follows: Rhodes and Win Diver- <br />sions and Pipelines for $1,350,000 in Sep- <br />tember 1986; Docs Diversion and Feeder <br />Pipeline for $1,527,000 in July 1986; <br />Hades Feeder Pipeline for $2,193,000 in <br />June 1986; Landscaping of the Duchesne <br />Government Community in November <br />1985 for $63,000; Strawberry O&M Facili- <br />ties for $480,000 in May 1986; and Straw- <br />berry Administration Building and Fish <br />Stripping Station for $792,000 in July <br />1986. The $4,484,000 contract for Sand <br />Production for Upper Stillwater Dam was <br />about 75 percent completed by the end <br />of FY 86. The North Fork Siphon contract <br />which was awarded in July 1984, for <br />$5,658,000 was over 85 percent com- <br />pleted by the fiscal year's end. <br />The $24,436,000 contract for Jordan <br />Aqueduct Reach 4 and Alpine Aqueduct <br />Reach 3 was 90 percent completed at <br />the end of FY 86. <br />Docs Feeder Pipeline and Hades Feeder <br />Pipeline were about 30 and 60 percent <br />complete, respectively. <br />The current contract value for Upper <br />Stillwater Dam awarded in December <br />1983, is now $77,125,000 and the work <br />was approximately 60 percent complete <br />at the end of FY 86. <br />The Strawberry O&M Facilities and the <br />Fish Stripping and Administration Build- <br />ings were about 35 and 50 percent com- <br />plete, respectively, at the end of FY 86. <br />Jensen Unit - with minimal construction, <br />work was substantially complete on both <br />the Tyzack Pumping Plant and on Reach <br />2 of the Tyzack Aqueduct. <br />Uintah Unit - The Bureau of Reclama- <br />tion has proposed nonstructural alterna- <br />tives to meet the terms of the Deferral <br />Agreement with the Ute Indian Tribe. The <br />Tribe has not responded to the proposal. <br />Upper Stillwater dam, Bonneville Unit, Central Utah Project, <br />at the close of construction season 1986. Roller compacted <br />concrete is being used in the dam.
