Attribute #2: Aquatic Ve~etation Density and Distribution

Values for this attribute should be determined from the period of peak vegetation biomass,
generally the end of July or early August. Select the DENSITY V ALOE using the DENSITY
description or aquatic vegetation biomass figure which best describes the situation at your lake or
pond. Then select the DISTRIBUTION VALUE using the DISTRIBUTION description. Finally,
the DENSITY and DISTRIBUTION V ALUES are used to determine the VEGETATION V ALOE
found below.

DENSITY VALUE

DENSITY
VALUES:

DENSITY Description:

Vegetation
Lb. per
Square
Yard

Vegetation
Kg. per
Square
Meter

---
----

--- ===~--

======

----
-------

HI

Dense mats. usually emergent.
