Forest Service <br />Routt National Forest <br />Steamboat Springs, Colorado <br /> <br />Since 1990, PIONEER has provided a wide range of environmental services for Lake <br />Catamount Resort, including: conducting public involvement activities; establishing and <br />maintaining agency coordination; preparing a 404 permit application; writing a Biological <br />Assessment; and conducting requisite analyses and drafting the wildlife, grazing and <br />transportation sections of the EIS. We subsequently collected supplementary information on <br />threatened and endangered species and on cumulative effects in support of the challenged EIS. <br />Most recently we studied elk habitat utilization and potential impacts to agriculture and <br />residential property. <br /> <br />Noteworthy Features of this Job <br /> <br />· Complete environmental analysis and permitting of a major, new, four-season resort <br />· Focus on a wide range of disciplines <br />· Contentious proposal, both within and outside the local community <br /> <br />Why is this Job Relevant? <br /> <br />· Involved a major EIS and supporting documentation <br />· Occurred in the same geographic area, including Yampa River basin <br />· Required substantial public involvement and conflict resolution effort <br />· Many of the same agencies and organizations involved <br />
