Although this fish occupied suspected spawning habitat <br />between RM 163 and RM 155 during late July and early August, our sampling with <br />trammel nets in that area did not result in the capture of additional adult <br />Colorado squawfish. This does not preclude the possibility that the fish <br />spawned in that area, however. Fish No. 46 was in the Black Rocks area by <br />early fall. <br /> <br />Movement of conventionally taqqed Colorado squawfish <br /> <br />Twenty-one wild Colorado squawfish that had earlier been tagged with <br />conventional (Carlin) tags were recaptured from the Colorado River during this <br />or previous studies (Valdez et al. 1982a,b). Two of these fish were recaptured <br />twice.
