The average median (000) grain size is about 82 mm but the range is from 76 to <br />101 mm. The range of values for the riffle sediments are similar to those at Oeopatras Couch (- 7Omm) <br />and Alternate Spawning Bar (- 83mm) for equivalent geomorphic features. Wolman Count MH5 was <br />conducted on a small bank-attached bar on the right bank at about XS 11 and is probably representative <br />of the caliber of bed material sediments being transported in the left chute channel during the <br />recessional part of the 1993 hydrograph. The 050 is about 34mm and this is a little fin~ than that for <br />MHl (48mm) and MH9 (4Omm) which are representative of bed material sediment transported through <br />the left chute channel in 1993.
