<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />, <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />39 <br /> <br />Therefore, it is concluded that the proposed action will not im- <br />pact Colorado squawfish, or other aquatic life in the Green River by <br />itself, but may contribute to a cumulative degradation that could <br />seriously influence the aquatic ecosystem. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> <br />It is recommended that if any instream construction, activity, or <br />water withdrawal is needed, that backwaters be avoided. Monitoring of <br />areas that could be potentially impacted should be conducted so actual <br />impacts, if any, could be measured. Timing of instream construction <br />could also be used to avoid critical periods. May and June are prob- <br />ably the best months to minimize damage. We do not see any need for <br />mitigation at this time as direct impacts do not appear likely. <br />
