<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Telemetered humpback chub occupied the Little Snake River from mid-June <br />until either early or late-July when flows ranged from 19 to 93 m3 Is and were <br />generally declining from the peak of 165 m3/s (Figure 2). During occupation by <br />humpback chub, daily temperatures in the Little Snake River ranged 14.4 to <br />21.20 C, averaged 180 C (s = 2.0904), and on a daily basis were warmer than in the <br />Yampa River (Figures 3 and 4). Mean daily temperatures in the Little Snake River in <br />July were 19 Oc (s = 1 .8141) and 2 0 warmer than daily temperatures in the Yampa <br />River. Both humpback chub and the roundtail chub apparently left the Little Snake <br />River just prior to baseflow as daily temperatures in the Little Snake River cooled to <br />levels lower than those in the Yampa River (Figures 3 and 5). In August, mean <br />daily temperature in the Little Snake River, while still warm (x = 19.80 C, <br />s =0.7176) was two degrees cooler than the Yampa River Ix = 21.40 C, <br />s = 1 .0928). <br /> <br />17 <br />
