Found one dying squawt"ish <br />about 3 inches long where the north channel of the Yampa empties into <br />the Green River. Took 2 channel catfish on throwlines, J. about <br />8" i and 1 &bout 10 inches. Since I did not have a container large <br />enoUBh to hold the squawfish caught the ~ before" I kept it on a <br />stringer in the river. It died, so I took the length and weight, <br />preserved the insides, and took some scales. Some are in the jar con- <br />taining the entrails and some are in an envelope. Length vas 20.6 <br />inches and weight was 1,213.7 gms.
