<br />Also on September 12, we collected 31 SPD from the Animas River, eight miles south of <br />Durango CO, at Trumble Creek. <br /> <br />Other collections <br /> <br />San Juan River area biologist, Mike Japhet, was helpful in making collections for us while he <br />was in the field. His collections included whole FMS as well as FMS and BHS fin clips from the <br />Animas, whole SPD and fms ofRTC, FMS, and BHS from the San Juan, RTC fin clips from La <br />Plata River, and whole SPD, RTC, and sculpin from the Dolores east of Dove Creek, CO. Steve <br />Whiteman also collected whole SPD from Groundhog Creek in the Dolores system. <br /> <br />CDOW biologist Rick Anderson collected and mailed fin clips of all four target species from a <br />sampling of the Yampa River between river mile 104 and 120, and fin samples ofRTC, FMS, <br />and BHS from the Colorado River, river mile 175-177 below Com Lake near Grand Junction. <br /> <br />Sherman Hebein, (CDOW, Montrose, CO) collected FMS, BHS, and RTC from the Gunnison <br />River, and Tim Modde (USFWS, Vernal, UT) collected RTC and FMS samples for us from the <br />lower White River. Jim Melby (CDOW, Pueblo, CO) collected white suckers from both the <br />Arkansas River and the Purgatorie River. The results of the above collecting trips and activities <br />are shown in Table 2. The form is organized by BYU population number with location, date, <br />collecting method, notes, CDOW contact, species collected, and numbers of each. <br /> <br />11 <br />
