ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
This study was funded by the Recovery Implementation Program for Endangered Fish Species in
the Upper Colorado River Basin. The Recovery Program is a joint effort of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife
Service, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Western Area Power Administration, States of Colorado, Utah and
Wyoming, Upper Basin water users, environmental organizations, and the Colorado River Energy
Distributors Association. We wish to thank Melissa Trammell, Bill Bates, Miles Moretti, and countless
Utah Division of Wildlife permanent and seasonal employees who have assisted on these efforts in the
past. We also thank Dr. Richard Valdez and Bryan Cowdell for their assistance and technical expertise
while in the canyon and during the planning phases of this project. We appreciate the cooperation of the
Bureau of Land Management Grand Resource Area staff for accommodating our sampling schedule.
The careful reviews of Larry Crist and Craig Adley greatly improved an earlier draft of this report.
Mention of trade names or commercial products does not constitute endorsement or
recommendation for use by the authors, the Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Department of Interior, or
the Recovery Implementation Program.
X
