Decision criteria affecting releases at <br />Glen Canyon Dam. <br /> <br />Annual Reauirements: <br /> <br />1. Minimum annual release of 8.23 maf, AND <br /> <br />2. Minimum storage requirement (602[a] storage). <br /> <br />3. Releases greater than 8.23 maf may be <br />scheduled if both 1. and 2. are satisfied. <br /> <br />MonthlY Taraets: <br /> <br />l. If reservoir is expected to fill, satisfy <br />annual requirements by: <br /> <br />a) Meeting January 1 storage target of <br />22.6 maf, AND <br /> <br />b) Meeting July target to fill reservoir, <br />AND <br /> <br />c) Scheduling releases to avoid,anticipated <br />spills. <br /> <br />2. If reservoir is expected not to fill, satisfy <br />annual requirements by: <br /> <br />a) Scheduling monthly pattern to meet the <br />minimum 8.23 maf requirement, OR <br /> <br />b) Scheduling monthly pattern to equalize <br />storage between Lakes Powell and Mead. <br /> <br />3. Allow flexibility to provide for a changing <br />forecast. <br /> <br />4. Accommodate seasonal patterns in energy <br />demands if they do not impact annual <br />requirements. <br /> <br />Hourly Schedules: <br /> <br />1. Meet monthly targets, AND <br /> <br />2. Follow hourly energy demands, AND <br /> <br />3. Accommodate emergencies and other unexpected <br />external factors. <br /> <br />41 <br />
