Selenium concentrations were 16.6 and 24.5 gg/g dw, which are elevated above the Toxicity Threshold of 8 µg/g dw, and are high enough to suggest potential effects. Both embryos, however, appeared normal though ages were estimated to be 10 and 18 days, respectively (incubation takes 22 to 24 days). Success of the nests was not determined since they were never rechecked.
