Selenium concentrations were 16.6 and 24.5 gg/g dw, which are elevated above <br />the Toxicity Threshold of 8 µg/g dw, and are high enough to suggest potential effects. Both <br />embryos, however, appeared normal though ages were estimated to be 10 and 18 days, <br />respectively (incubation takes 22 to 24 days). Success of the nests was not determined since they <br />were never rechecked.
