14 <br />Pimephales promelas -Fathead Minnow <br />YOY Pimephales were found at Strata A, B, C, D, E, F, IV, VI, and <br />VII. They ranged in length from 17 to 34 mm with a mean length of 29.63 mm. <br />Ephemeroptera made up 71.99% of the diet, butwere consumed only at Stratum <br />E. Hemiptera were the major food items at Stratum A; zooplankton at Stratum <br />B; macrofragments at Strata C and VII; Coleoptera at Stratum D; and seston <br />at Strata F. IV, and V1. <br />YOY Pimephales consumed significantly more seston and Hemiptera at <br />Stratum A than at other strata, and more macrofragments at Strata VII and <br />C than at Strata A, B, D, E, F, IV, and Vlo <br />Adult Pimephales were found at Strata A, B, C, D, E, F, IV, VI, and <br />IX. They ranged in length from 35 to 65 mm with a mean length of 43.62 mm. <br />Seston made up 87.40% of their diet and were the major food items at Strata <br />A, B, E, F, IV,VI , and IX. Macrofragments were the major food items at <br />Strata C and D. <br />Adult Pimephales consumed more seston at Stratum IX than at Strata <br />A, B, C, D, F, IV, and VI , and more Diptera at Stratum A than at other strata. <br />Ictalurus punctatus - Channel Catfish <br />YOY Ictalurus were found at Strata A, B, C, D, E, and F. They ranged <br />in length from 19 to 92 mm with a mean length of 48.27 mm. Their major <br />food items were Diptera.(55.85%). At Stratum D the major food items were <br />invertebrate remains. <br />YOY Ictalurus consumed more terrestrial invertebrates, Diptera, <br />Coleoptera, and Hemiptera at Stratum A than at the other strata.
