<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS <br />A work group composed of Gary Burton, Larry Crist, Leo Lenstch, Tom Nesler, <br />Frank Pfeifer, and Mike Stempel provided guidance for the format and content <br />of these guidelines. <br />A Genetics Panel composed of Fred Allendorf, Anthony Echelle, and Dave Philipp <br />and Biology Committee members Gary Burton, Larry Crist, Leo Lentsch, Tom <br />Nesler, Tom Pitts, and John Shields reviewed three drafts of these guidelines <br />and provided valuable comments for improvement. John Hamill, Program Director <br />for the upper basin and Gary Carmichael, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, <br />Albuquerque, New Mexico also reviewed the guidelines and provided input for <br />the present revision. <br />The illustration of the DNA strand is from Kapuscinski and Jacobson (1987). <br />' The illustrations of the endangered Colorado River Fishes are from an <br />unidentified illustrator. <br />This project was funded by the Recovery Implementation Program for Endangered <br />Fishes in the Upper Colorado River Basin. The Program is a joint effort of <br />the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Western Area <br />' Power Administration, States of Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming, upper basin water <br />users, and environmental organizations. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />v <br />
